My Medieval Profession?

I did one of those five-question quizzes over at Blogthings the other day. It is not the first time I have tried it, and I am still puzzled. The one I did before this one was completely way out in the blogosphere, not at all close the truth. I mean, how can you define anybody with only five questions asked and six or seven optional answers? In a way I admire the people who sit there and make it up!

This time I thought I would give it a go, give it five minutes only to be fair to them, and I ended up doing it several times and varying my answers. But the damn thing showed me up as a Playwright however much I tried to change my career! So be it, I am a Medieval Playwright then, of sorts. The modern version of the result is becomingly flattering since I am working on a "book project". Time will tell how accurate that prediction is. I am working on it!

You Are a Playwright

You are a highly literate wordsmith. You love both reading and writing.

You are also a natural storyteller. You can turn a mediocre anecdote into a riveting tale.

You find people and all aspects of life fascinating. No topic is off limits for you.

In modern times, you would make a good filmmaker or novelist.

Amazing how a little quiz can sometimes be right... Or maybe it just gives that answer to everyone?

Good luck with your book project - whatever it is...

LadyFi - I suppose they don't know of that many different Medieval jobs! Re the book project I dare not say much yet; it is far from completed.

I'm a playwrite, too... maybe we should collaborate :)

RE the post about the family in California (it happened again, by the way), I felt the same way as you (as most people, I think... I hope). I hugged my daughter a little tighter the days both stories broke.

I can totally see you as a playwrite!

Diane - Thanks for the offer, but it takes place in Sweden and I write in Swedish. :-(
Diane M - Thanks for your support!

You Are a Jester

You are a natural entertainer. You can get a laugh from the toughest of crowds.
You make friends very easily. You tend to know a lot of popular, rich, and powerful people.

You are also good at playing politics. You know how to get along with many factions without upsetting anyone.
In modern times, you would make a good actor or world leader.

I don't think of myself as an entertainer.. but otherwise, yes.. pretty correct lol

Thanks for the tip to read Efter Floden.

After 12 yrs in your homeland, my Swedish is pretty good and I have read and still do many Swedish books. (Last one was Låt den rätte komma in.)

The memory of that book alone can still make me shudder. Låt den rätte komma in, I've read about it. Great success, both book and film. Makes me think of a Christmas present I have on the shelf next to me. It is the whole collection (11 CDs) of the director's father's "Lindemän". I'm sure you are familiar with the comical etc. genius of Hasse Alfredsson!
