We have had 15 degrees today and wonderful sunshine. I could not resist the temptation to try my luck with some close-up images of the forsythia outside our front door. Little insects were whizzing and buzzing around, and I tried desperately to keep up with them; aiming, focusing and hoping they did mot move before my remote time delay had activated the shutter! Not easy, I have to say.
I cropped the best and thought I ought to brighten up my blog with some beautiful spring colours. Here you are!

Well of course, I saw, after the fact - the little things must stir to life, in part to feed the bigger things. Your macros provided the aha! Those bugs have got to be ready to go when the flowers bloom, when the insect eaters return, when life bursts forth. Thanks.

I am still hibernating ... or trying to stay afloat - as we have had only 10 days without rain since December 11, and record braking rain amounts for the season ...and still it rains!
I may have to take up carpentry ;-)
Limningedge - Goodness me! That sounds like very wet indeed. I hope it stops soon. Your carpentry hint makes me think of the old (60s?) sketch with Bill Cosby about a modern day Noah building his ark in the driveway, having to tell the rabbits "Only two, only two!". :-D
Great photos. It would be nice to have some decent weather and no rain to actually get out of the house.
Current "tropical low" now moving into WA, but was very wet again. The mould is even growing mould on itself!!
