Forest Photo Walk

My new camera and I just went for a short walk in a nearby forest. Light conditions were not the very best for photography, but I gave it a go anyway.

I first walked past a recycling container which had a beautiful, faded blue colour. The buds on some of the trees were in their very first phase but the forest floor looked as dead as in late autumn. Not many signs of spring just yet, dead bits of tree and old dry leaves still hanging as a reminder of last year.

As I walked back some dogs came out of their kennel and saw me off, walking along the inside of a long fence surrounding some riding stables. A group of cheerful spring flowers greeted me as I returned home, telling me it was spring after all.

You did very well, all the pictures are very different. It seems as if you have found a new companion to take on your walks.;)
I like the photo of the forest. There is something intriguing about it. I also like the one of the dry leaves. And of course of the daffodils, or the "Easter Lilies" as they called in Danish.
I am wishing you a great weekend.;)

Protege - Thank you, it is a wonderful new friend. Enjoy your weekend as well, perhaps in the garden?

Nice Article. Keep it up. But I think this is copy of your topic recycling process

Bhuvan - Thank you, but I am not quite sure what you mean by "copy of your topic". ...??...

Veronica - I find the small details of the flora fascinating. I am looking forward to more green though, and other colours of course!

I love my Nikon too! Great photos, how do you manage to group them together like that?

1st L - Thank you, yes great camera.

I use Windows Live Writer to create the post, and I simply insert a table and then stick the pictures in the cells, then I change the size of them by changing the properties on the right of the window. Et voilà!

Love the signs of spring... The snow is only just melting back here in Sweden.

LadyFi - The only real snow we had was when we had returned from a snow-free Stockholm at New Year; we woke up on Monday to find a thick blanket of snow. Now we have buds, birds and bright sunshine!

A camera and a walk is always a winning combination but a walk with a new camera is even better! I've had mine a couple of months now but I am still very much experimenting with different settings and the amazing image stabilizing software.

Matthew - I agree totally. There is so much to learn with a new camera, but I just love it.
