One day when I had formatted the camera memory card to make space for new images, I took a photograph just to check that all was OK. Normally I just hold the camera in front of me, which means I get a picture of my desk with the PC screen on it.
This time however I aimed at the floor next to me by the wall, and this is what it looked like.
And I thought, what a mess! How the heck do I know which is which, where do they go and where do they come from? Do I need them all?
Somehow I know them all, even without having labelled them, and should I forget, I just follow them with my fingers. They are all needed for the PC, phone, PDA, iPod, cameras, headphones etc. Is there a better way? Is it possible to organise this ball of spaghetti differently? What does yours look like?
Hopefully one day we won't be needing a physical conductor of signals and electricity at all; everything will be done by Bluetooth, infrared or something even more sophisticated and advanced. I can't wait!
Then I thought, life is a bit like this too, isn't it? But that's another issue all together. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hehe, this was great! I have a similar mess at home and sometimes I wonder how did I connect it all in the first place!? I am happy I am not the only one with such connections.;)
Have a great weekend,

Oh lord... I don't like those tangles very much (much better and easier since I got an iMac)... I often 'look' at those cable sorters or label tags etc... but... well procrastination!
I put mine inside a wicker box with a lid so I can't see it.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Protege - Good thing you are connected so you could comment here! ;-)
Lynda - An iMac, eh? I don't know, how is that better?
Oreneta - Isn't that verging on cheating? ;-) But clever!
Oh my word! I've seen these nifty little tubes that keep cords straight... you might want to look into them ;) But yes, my life does sort of look like that!
Diane - Thanks for another piece of good advice. Only thing I've got is some velcro strap that holds together some other cables behind the PC on the floor. Maybe one day...
Have you considered installing more than one socket in your house? ;)
Wow, that's a pretty big mess. I think if I had something that bad I'd go hide my head under the pillow permanently...ciao
1st Lady - With extension leads I have 24 sockets and only 23 plugs, so I can actually fit in 1 more! ;-)
Rositta - It looks ugly, but I know which is which. I tend not to look down there. ;-)
